Sunday worship begins at 10:00 a.m. and ends between 11:00 and 11:15. A traditional service with hymns, the vocal choir and/or bell choir, prayers, a sermon…. After the service, visitors and members adjourn to the adjacent Jenkins House for refreshments and fellowship.
Holy Communion is celebrated the first Sunday of each month.
All are invited to stay for the entire service. Church School is offered at the Saturday service.
Saturday worship begins at 4:30 and is usually done by 5:15. Families remain together for the entire service, which is intentionally geared to all ages. Music is provided by Steve Gregory, a professional musician and lead in a couple of a Cape bands, playing guitar and electric guitar. Steve is often joined by Joan on vocals, and members of the congregation join in on drums (Shawn) and acoustic guitar (Camden) — if you want to join in, just ask Steve! We celebrate communion each week (all are welcome), have a time of silent prayer and lighting of prayer candles, and a brief message. (Check out the Its Saturday — Let’s Do Church tab on the left).
The sacrament of Baptism is celebrated on an individual basis within the Sunday and Saturday worship services. Both infant and adult baptismal traditions are observed.
Sermon reprints are available during the week in Jenkins Hall. Sermons are also posted here each week. Responses to the sermons are encouraged!
