“Thanksgiving and Remembering Christ is Among Us”

With our Thanksgiving holiday behind us, with Black Friday one day in the rear-view mirror, on Saturday Christie will be asking us not put the Christ back in Christmas (a once in the year holiday) but back in our daily lives.

As the children will have several days off behind them, they are probably itching to get out, so pack them up and bring them to worship, where Pastor Reed promises to have a class that will engage and delight!

Sunday we will be taking a look at that strange account in the Hebrew Scriptures of the Tower of Babel. You remember it, how back in the day all humanity spoke one language and started building one humongous tower. The tried-and-true interpretation has been that humanity was scattered throughout the world, with thousands of different languages, as punishment. BUT — maybe that is not the meaning at all, maybe it means just the opposite — after all, is diversity a bad thing, is uniformity always a good thing? Then, or now?
