PRESCHOOL PROGRAM Our full day program is based on the Massachusetts Standards for Preschool Learning and the National Association for Young Children's Developmentally Appropriate Practice. These 3 and 4 year-olds are "all energy", "all curious", and ready to learn in a variety of ways. Like the toddlers, these have a language-rich environment but the emphasis is also on literature, art, music, math and science. They continue with their self-help skills. They want to do most things "all by myself". There is plenty of time to explore the learning materials and enjoy creative play while socializing (and sharing) with friends. Outside learning takes place on our playground with both free-play and organized activities. |
